There are many people involved with Project Citizen and we would like to appreciate their work and help with this project.
Mr. Hull: Mr. Hull is our seventh grade Social Studies teacher. He has guided us through this entire project and has definitely showed us how much work this one project would be. He gave us a bunch of assignments so far to help us with this one final project. Thank you Mr. Hull for teaching us so much in the little time that we had.
Ms. Arof: Ms. Arof is another seventh grade Social Studies teacher. She has a different class but has done the same amazing projects that we have done. She has taught her students so well and they have helped us learn about our topic of green schools. Thank you Ms. Arof for teaching your classes the same knowledge we need to know just like Mr. Hull.
Dr. Mark Nolan Hill: Dr. Hill is a guest speaker who has told us about the whole process of Project Citizen. From the picking a topic and research to the making projects and presenting them to all of the important people that we present to. He works with this project “behind the scenes” and without him it would definitely not turn out as well. A special thank you to Dr. Hill for teaching us about the process of Project Citizen and helping us behind the scenes.
The Seventh Graders: The seventh graders from our school have worked along with us on this project. They all have been talking about all of their different ideas and have given us some of the great ideas for our projects too. Thank you to all of our fellow seventh graders for helping us get these ideas for Project Citizen together.
Our Class: Our wonderful Social Studies class has helped us so much. We have all made up the possible solutions for Project Citizen. This has helped us by giving us the exact information we need to complete this project. Thank you to our eighth period Social Studies class for making this project come together as a group.
Dr. Olson/Mrs. King: Dr. Olsen is our outstanding principal along with our superb vice principal Mrs. King. They have given us all of the permission to make the changes to the school to make it greener. These will be big changes and they trust us enough to make them and do them right. Thank you Dr. Olson and Mrs. King for giving us this permission and trusting us so much.
The Five Of Us: Raizel Lieberman, Zach Harris, Zoe Meyer, Reid Kahn, and Jessica Bai have created this website. We all have contributed to making this website and the entire project as a group. Thank you to all of us in this amazing group for working together and doing your share of the project.
Pat Quinn: Pat Quinn is the current governor of Illinois. He has been coming to Elm Place for the past couple of years and will be coming this year too to come and judge us on our projects. This is ours. He has made a Green School Compact for Illinois and last year as a school and we have signed it. Thank you Pat Quinn for making this document and for coming to tell us how we do on this project.
David L. Behlow: David L. Behlow is the superintendent of all district 112 schools. He has been involved with all of the schools and what they do for a couple of years now. Because he does this, he knows all about Project Citizen. He has helped Mr. Hull in telling him what to teach us which has also been a big help to us. Thank you David L. Behlow for being so involved with Project Citizen.
Mark Kirk: Mark Kirk is a congressman for Illinois. He is involved with Project Citizen this year because he is completely pro-environment. It is a great thing that he is so into the “going green” process. He will be coming and taking time out of his busy day to come and take a look at our projects. Thank you Mark Kirk for caring so much about the environment and coming to look at our projects.
Michael Belsky: Michael Belsky is the mayor of Highland Park. He would be the one to give us most of the permission to make all of the changes to the school to make it greener. We are sure that he will go along with all of our plans and will trust us to make them work. Thank you Mayor Belsky for giving us all of the permission and trusting us so much.
